The International Finance Corporation now require maintaining the benefits arising from ecosystem services. This will require social and environmental practitioners to carry out integrated impact assessment. The World Resource Institute just released Ecosystem Services Review for Impact Assessment: Introduction and Guide to Scoping (http://www.wri.org/publication/ecosystem-services-review-for-impact-assessment). This method provides social and environmental practitioners: (1) A conceptual framework of how the project, ecosystem services and human well-being are linked and (2) Step-by-step instructions to systematically incorporate ecosystem services trhoughout the impact assessment process.
