Conflict around extractives industry projects can be costly to a business operation both in dollar
terms but also in eroding community trust and confidence. CSRM research discovered that delays caused by conflict with communities can incur costs of roughly US$20 million per week for mining projects valued between US$3 billion and US$5 billion. To download the original research article visit:
