The course will introduce participants to procedures that should be followed in order to comply with requirements for a sound social impact assessment process, considering strategic priorities and strong engagements with prior and informed consent, social performance standards, supply change management, governance, local content. The course will provide tools for planning hydropower and other water-related projects in the best possible way on a national, regional and local level.

Prerequisites :• a minimum of 5 years of working experience is required.
• applicants should hold a B.sc. Degree in hydropower engineering or have an equivalent relevant background.
• proficiency in English is compulsory
